What causes foot and ankle injuries?
Many factors go into why these issues develop or occur in the first place, including not only issues (such as weakness, tightness, or muscle imbalances) at the foot and ankle itself, but also at the spine, hip, and knee as well. Many times, repetitive stress ends up occurring at the foot/ankle because we don’t have good mobility, strength, or control in those other areas, which affects how we walk, run, or perform other daily tasks.
